OPEN THE GATES
On arrival
Use the product page’s What you receive panel and the selected option as your contents list. A kit name describes its intended use, but does not mean an enclosure, heat source, supplement, or care tool is included. Inspect each inner container separately and contact support if its contents do not match your order.
BUILD THE REFUGE
A secure holding setup
Keep different feeder types in separate holding containers. Crickets need ventilation and climbing space; grain-bed larvae need clean dry bedding; hornworms and silkworms need their own suitable foods. Do not pour a sampler into one tub.
KEEP A STEADY WATCH
Temperature & placement
Apply the storage rule for each insect. Superworms must not be refrigerated like mealworm larvae; a waxworm holding cup and a producing fruit-fly culture are also different. Keep all packages out of direct sun while preparing their individual setups.
PROVISION THE COLONY
Food & hydration
Supply the right diet for each feeder, using the guides below. Gut-loading, hydration, and the receiving pet’s supplements are separate parts of preparation. A pack chosen for a pet group does not establish the right prey size, portion, or feeding frequency for every individual animal.
THE DAILY WATCH
Care between feedings
Label the containers and make a feeding plan based on the animal, the feeder size, and how quickly each insect develops. Use shorter-lived or rapidly growing stock first, while preserving any breeder or culture reserve. Remove uneaten feeders from the pet enclosure after supervised feeding.
AVOID THE COMMON TRAPS
Mistakes worth preventing
- Assuming the kit title lists every included item.
- Using one refrigerator setting for the entire pack.
- Treating a feeding kit as a complete diet or complete animal enclosure.
