Meet one of Asia's most captivating and underrepresented scorpion species. Scorpiops sp South Thailand, commonly known as the Thai Flat Rock Scorpion, is a sleek, dorsoventrally flattened species built for life in the rocky outcroppings and limestone formations of Thailand. Its low-profile body, earthy tones, and deliberate movements make it a standout display animal for the serious collector.

Unlike many scorpions, flat rock species like Scorpiops are adapted to squeeze into tight crevices — a fascinating behavioral trait that makes for a uniquely engaging enclosure setup. Provide flat cork bark, slate, or stacked stone hides to replicate their natural habitat and watch them thrive.

• Origin: Thailand / Southeast Asia
• Temperament: Defensive but not aggressive — handles with care recommended
• Venom: Mild; not considered medically significant
• Care Level: Intermediate
• Enclosure: Dry to semi-arid rocky setup with flat hides
