Meet one of the most visually striking dwarf tarantulas in the hobby — Cyriocosmus ritae, the Peruvian Black & White. Native to Peru, this petite New World species punches well above its weight class in terms of visual impact, sporting a bold black-and-white patterned abdomen that makes it an instant standout in any collection. Don't let the "dwarf" label fool you — this spider has serious personality and presence.

Despite its small size, C. ritae is an active, curious species that readily makes itself visible in its enclosure. It's a burrower by nature, so providing a deep substrate layer will bring out its best natural behaviors. Docile by New World standards and relatively slow-moving, this species is a fantastic choice for intermediate keepers looking to add a rare gem to their collection — or for experienced hobbyists who appreciate the finer details of a truly beautiful dwarf.
